A master of gothic pop, London-based Australian musician E.PARKER has released another track that should be on your radar. With a driving beat, moody production, and ethereal vocals reminiscent of BANKS or Lana Del Rey, E.PARKER captures the energy of a late night party with close friends and bottles it up in ‘Palazzo.’ When asked about the track, E.PARKER described it as a love letter to her friends.
“I used to spend my weekends working in cafes and then in the evenings my friends and I would throw these wild parties at my old apartment. We’d put red cellophane over an Ikea lamp, turn the kitchen into a sleazy red glow room and dance and talk until the morning. When we were all together like that it made me feel like we could take over the world, so I wrote ‘Palazzo’ as a grimy club love letter to my friends and those memories.”
The first single with French label Kitsuné, ‘Palazzo’ is a beautiful example of E.PARKER’s ability to blend dark and light elements and create something that is both moody and ethereal.
