Los Angeles-based indie rock group lovelytheband brought their “finding it hard to smile” tour to the Historic Scoot Inn in Austin. The night was full of high energy and killer performances.

First to hit the stage was husband and wife duo Flora Cash who have been blowing up on radios around the world. Their single “You’re Somebody Else” has catapulted the duo to indie stardom and has proved that Shpresa and Cole are artists you should be keeping your eyes on. Stepping on stage both wearing sunglasses, Flora Cash’s set was intimate, engaging, and honest. The connection between Shpresa and Cole on stage is what stands out the most; it is obvious that the two love what they do. Their set included songs like “They Own This Town” and “I Wasted You” before they gave a touching speech about mental health and finishing with “You’re Somebody Else.”

Lovelytheband stepped onto the stage to a sold-out cheering crowd. Kicking off their set with their track “finding it hard to smile,” lovelytheband showcased their killer talent from the get-go. Stand-out moments of the night included their cover of the classic “Mr. Brightside” by The Killers, their speech about the new abortion law in Alabama, and giving a mental health awareness talk to the crowd before singing their hit track “broken.” Their set included an encore and they finished with the feel-good song “these are my friends” which was a beautiful way to finish off the night.

Flora Cash’s tour dates can be found here and you can stay up-to-date with the band on Instagram. Lovelytheband continues their tour with dates in Canada, the US, and Europe. Information on tour dates can be found here. A photo gallery from the night is included below.
