UK -based band The Comet Is Coming just embarked on a North American tour and I had the chance to catch their show in LA at The Moroccan Lounge. The band, who is made up of members Danalogue on synths, drummer Betamax, and saxophonist King Shabaka, has created an immersive world of psychedelic jazz for listeners.
Performing to a packed audience at The Moroccan Lounge, the band took the crowd on a beautiful instrumental trip full of vibrant energy, music, and love. The band expressed their gratitude to the audience multiple times throughout the night, explaining that it was hard to believe people across the world felt connected to their music. The band played their latest single “Unity”, which is also featured on their new album “Trust in the Lifeforce of the Deep Mystery”, to a loud and excited crowd.
The Comet Is Coming will be touring around the US, Canada, and Europe this spring and will be playing Bonnaroo this summer. More information on their tour dates can be found here.
