You know those musicians who you love but you secretly want to keep them for yourself? That is like So Below for me except she is so criminally underrated that I am past the point of wanting to keep her music to myself. People deserve to know how brilliant she is.
At the beginning of March, So Below released her highly anticipated EP ‘II’ and although it’s months later, I am still listening to it. The four tracks are gothic, dancey, and like her other music, will make you want to throw a vampire dance party. If I had to choose, I would say that ‘Visions’ is my favorite off of the EP. It has the perfect amount of groove while still being moody and layered.
Proving she can create banger after banger, So Below also released a cover of MUNA’s track ‘Crying on the Bathroom Floor.’ Her ethereal vocals are cradled in a textured production, taking listeners on a dark, glistening 4 minute journey. I honestly might blow my eardrums out listening to this one. You can listen to her cover here.
I highly suggest staying up to date with what she is up to by following her on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram because besides creating beautiful music, she is hilarious and her Instagram stories always make me smile. Check out the full tour of her luxurious studio and you will see what I mean.
