A few months ago I had the chance to chat with the LA-based musician MONOGEM about her newly released single ‘Get You High.’ When I asked her about the track, she explained that the song just feels like her.
“Everything just fell into place while writing this one. It’s amazing how a new song can breathe life into you, and that feeling is what gets me high. I am so lucky to be able to make music for a living, this song is a nice reminder of that.”
When the dreamy track dropped I became obsessed and I have fallen in love even harder after the release of her music video. The music video for ‘Get You High’ is so visually stunning, every single shot could have been plucked from an editorial in Vogue. From the costume design and the colors to the badass ladies themselves, the production quality of this video is top-notch and pure art. I found myself rewatching it because it is so aesthetically pleasing.
