Apparently blessing us with her brilliant voice and piano skills while on tour with The Naked And Famous wasn’t enough for Luna Shadows because she recently dropped a new track; this time a dreamy rendition of Dua Lipa’s ‘Be The One.’ In typical Luna Shadows fashion, she put an ethereal witchy spin on Dua’s track and I couldn’t love the vibe anymore if I tried.
On Instagram, Luna provided a backstory about the track, explaining that she fell in love with the song in 2016 when she had just booked her first show in LA. It was also during this time that the British star Dua Lipa was making her LA debut. Luna went on to explain that watching Dua’s career flourish has been an inspiration to her.
Since our 1st shows, I’ve been running as fast as I can to create my parallel universe in the indie world while celebrating the success of another female musician from afar. I decided to spin a dreamy interpretation of this song, which represents a lot to me and has remained near & dear.
Dua Lipa also expressed her love for Luna’s rendition by sharing it on Twitter. Ladies, do you see how far we can go when we band together and support one another? This is what I live for!
